The Independent Production Fund clients fall into three major categories: sponsors/underwriters of television programs and series; corporate clients for whom the Independent Production Fund produces informational films, videos, CD ROMs and DVDs; and foundations and educational institutions that underwrite non-television projects on special interests.

Sponsors & Underwriters
Independent Production Fund television productions have been commissioned by PBS, HBO, Lifetime, A&E and other broadcast entities.  Repeat sponsors of programs have included major corporations such as IBM, PaineWebber, Price Waterhouse,  Metropolitan Life, and 3M, among others.

Corporations
Corporate clients have called upon the Independent Production Fund to bring its journalistic/filmmaker expertise to special film and video projects for purposes ranging from public information to internal training and customer relations. The Independent Production Fund has also worked with several major corporations to produce investigative videos designed to uncover and explore internal organizational problems. These productions have been used for middle-management viewing and orientation. In some cases, Independent Production Fund corporate videos have been used as part of legal proceedings to help clarify specific issues before the court.

Foundations & Educational Institutions
The Independent Production Fund's clients also include non-profit institutions, foundations and trusts. Work in the healthcare area, in particular, has been funded by some of America's major foundations: The Commonwealth Fund, Robert Wood Johnson Charitable Trusts, Pew Charitable Trusts, The Markle Foundation, and the Carnegie Corporation of New York. Educational institutions such as Stanford University Graduate School of Business, Dartmouth University School of Medicine have come to the Independent Production Fund for its expertise in telling their stories effectively. Although many of these productions are for television, a number of projects have been produced for viewing by specific interested audiences.
